Simon Rohrer has 26 years of experience as a software developer, enterprise architect and has been a passionate advocate of modern ways of working since picking up the eXtreme Programming White Book 20 years ago.
He has recently contributed a chapter on technical excellence to Jonathan Smart’s forthcoming IT Revolution Press book Sooner Safer Happier. Simon worked with Jonathan at Barclays in the group Ways of Working team and was responsible there for transforming enterprise architecture governance group-wide from a highly gated and bureaucratic waterfall model to a collaborative, outcome-driven model that supported and encouraged continuous delivery.
Since 2019, Simon’s has been working in a dual role as Head of Enterprise Architecture and co-lead on Ways of Working at Saxo Bank in Denmark, where he has been taking a transformative approach to aligning Enterprise Architecture with a DevOps and Better Value Sooner Safer Happier set of outcomes.
